Certified Christian

So, I had a pretty good chuckle tonight as I fired up the computer to see what was new on the site. Obviously, this site is partially funded through advertisement. One of the ads that I happened to see tonight on the site was for Together Christian, a Christian web dating 
service. I included a shot of the ad in this post so that you have a reference point about what I found quite humorous. (You can click it to enlarge, it is just a JPG, not an ad.)
There were a handful of things that I found to be funny. (Could just be me, I know.) It is nice to know that sex still sells in the religious world. I mean, they could have used a model that looked more like Molly Shannon playing the part of “Superstar.” They opted to go with the typical blonde haired, blue-eyed model you see here with her hair pulled up as she gives you that quazi “come-hither” look.
The other thing that got me rolling was the little stamp, “Certified Christian.” If you are a Christian reading this, do you guys really buy into this marketing crap? (Oh, wait…you guys bought into the whole, “And God said, ‘Let there be light!’” thing. Wrong bunch to ask. Sorry!) Tell me, how does one become a “certified Christian?” I mean, the qualifications for this must be incredible! Let me see…
Huh. I guess not. I guess now I am a “certified Christian!” (Yeah, I made a profile on the site. You can find me as “mythofjesus.”) I suppose some of you could be “certified,” but I am not a licensed psychiatrist so…
