Sponsored Post: Take Care

As an atheist, I would not normally do a paid review of a product affiliated with any religious organization. However, when I got this offer in my Review Me in box, my curiosity was aroused. The company in question is The Simplify Company and the product is their take Care package. You can find it at http://www.take-care.ca.

If there is anything in recent history that has driven people away from the Church more than the scandalous news report you hear on a weekly basis about some form of abuse from leadership, I would love to hear about it. Certainly, the Catholic Church is in the forefront of this tidal wave, but there are plenty of others that are out there everyday. The goal of the Simplify Company is to dramatically reduce these occurrences through knowledge; some free, and some paid for.

You may be asking yourself, “Why would you, an atheist, be concerned with such matters?” Well, because I realize that I am in the minority and probably will be for some time. Meanwhile, I also believe that those who depend on their house of worship to give them a safe place to congregate should be able to do so without questioning their desire to leave their children in a Sunday school room.

Today, churches serve as more than worship halls. They facilitate a whole host of other community serving en devours. From pre-school to elderly care to sponsored mission trips to community events as simple as a pancake feed, the church is an “open arms” part of the communities that they are located in. Not only should YOU be able to go there without worry, but THEY should be able to host you without worry. I would urge EVERY church that has not looked into their liabilities to log on to take care and check out their free offerings first.

From background checks to interview forms, you will find a wealth of information at your fingertips. They do offer a a book, but you cannot order it on the site. You have to call in to speak with someone about it and their reasoning on this seems quite simple.

I have intentionally not set up a shopping cart to automate the purchase because I want to hear from you about how you feel the resource book will help in your organization’s situation. If you would like me to come present a training session or a talk about this topic , we can talk about that as well.

There is no ‘free gift with purchase’ promotion offered here. Just a solid, proven resource that addresses important issues. I encourage you to use it and apply the principles in it to your organization’s operation. Your church will be safer and will be seen to be safer as a result.

So, log on today and tell your church leadership to do so too. You may find it hard to be an atheist, you shouldn’t find it hard to to enjoy your church!
